How To Build Good Habits And Stick To Them

When I first heard the concept of forming good habits and becoming a slave to them in Og Mandino Scroll 1, I was concerned by the use of the term “slave.” To my relief, I learned through the Oxford dictionary that another meaning of the word is “a person who is so strongly influenced by something that they cannot live without it.” That resonated with me and reminded me of my own daily rituals.

Forming good habits allows you to become a slave to them. You cannot live your life without them.

So, if you think of doing something, first ask yourself: Is it worth doing? If it is worth doing, you should do it well and repeat it over and over again.

Do you find yourself making decisions and then not seeing them through?
The good news is that deciding is half the battle. The other half is sticking to it.

Forming good habits is critical to who you are in every aspect of your life, but the benefit far outweighs the burden of keeping them.
